Lothar H├Ąttich manages new project "Leisure" - a warm "goodbye"

On June 30, 2020, Pierau Planung will pass on a weighty baton. Our Managing Director Lothar Hättich will retire in summer and hand over his field of activities to our long-standing employee Hubertus Dieckmann.

We owe a lot to Lothar Hättich: for 31 years he has helped to build up, encouraged and improved the Pierau Planung team. Initially as a consultant, from 2006 onwards as Managing Director, he played a formative role in the development of our company and is responsible for many strategic decisions that have led long-term to our current success.

Both internally and externally: Lothar Hättich is characterised by an incredibly concentrated and goal-oriented approach to work, without ever losing sight of his employees and project participants – or his sense of fine humour. Our customers appreciate him as contact person for jointly mastering new challenges. And, of course, as manager of complex and extensive projects in the field of logistics design and implementation, with which he has made a name for himself in the German logistics industry far beyond the company's borders.

In recent months he has had another task in addition to his work as project leader and manager: handing over his field of responsibility to his successor, who comes from our own ranks and is thus well-known both internally as well as in the logistics industry: Hubertus Dieckmann knows our company, our customers and our projects from the bottom up. He has been a successful logistics consultant and especially logistics IT expert at Pierau Planung for 20 years. From July 2020, he will be the third managing director besides Arne Pierau and Björn Brunkow.

After such a long and above all successful career, a simple "thank you" is not enough. We would like to express our highest appreciation for the focus and commitment with which Lothar Hättich has always worked for our company, our employees and our customers. We look forward to staying in touch and up to date – as active as Lothar Hättich is, we can probably assume that the future will also hold many exciting projects for him.
